« I PROGRAMME OF REPRESENTATIVE HATCHES. A meeting of tho Management Committee of the Wellington Rugby Union was held last night, when thero were present: Messrs. D. D. Weir (in the chair), J, N. Millard, W. W. Cook, G. H. Howe, A. C. Kitto, AV. F. Hornig, A. Griffiths, J. Lundon, and T. H. Jones (secretary). It was decided to inform the Oriental Club that owing to it having played fifthclass players who were over ape •' the matches in which the boys participated would have to be forfeited to the opposing teams. The Wellington Public Schools' Association wrote thanking the union for its generous action in presenting 19 footballs to the association. The following programme of representative matches was approved: Wellington v. Auckland, at Auckland, on August 17; at Wellington on September 7; Wellington v. Canterbury, at Christchurch, on August 21; at Wellington on August 31; Wellington v. Wairarapa, at Wellington, on August 17; at Carterton, on August 21. For having struck an opponent in the Petone-Wellingt.oii junior match last Saturday, and for not using his influence to induce his team to return to tho field (eleven-playevs huving followed him off after the referee had ordered him off), 11. ,T. Nicholls, captain of the Petone juniors, was suspended until May 1, HIS).
