Both vessels aro fully laden with coal for Welliiißton. TJio need of a vessel to take the place of the sunken Wimmera on the SydneyAuckland run was discuseed at tho Auckland Chamber of Commerce on Friday. Mr. R. Burns, tho president, said that tho chamber had sent a private deputation on the subject to Sir James Allen, who had replied that he would me his sympathetic, attention to the mutter, though the difficulty in the way of replacing the Wiminera was the scarcity of steamers.
