.MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. The monthly meeting of th» General Committee of the Industrial Association wns held last evening. Mr. F. J. Evane. president, was in the chair. The secretary of the Wellington Master Plumbers' Association wrote jtating that tho association had decided not to affiliate with tlie lndustrhl Association at present. A circular letter from the chairman of the National Efficiency Board with respect to the shipment of essential goods wns referred Io the seerttary for a suitable reply to be sent. The association recently invilod the workers of all registered industrial unions to send in essays on the utilisation of waste products, and the time for the sending in such essays closed on July 10. Only one essay had been received, and this hail been sent to Professor Eastei-ficld, who will advise the /issociatiou as Io the merits of the essay , . Mr. If. Mainland was appointed to represent the association as a member of tho Vigilance Commillee "f the Mangahao Hydro-Electric League, which meets •it PMmeiston North ■.his afternoon.
