ARCHBISHOP O'SHEA'S SPEECH
Sir,—Allow me to congratulate your correspondent "S.T" in io-day's Do-. minion. There is no doubt ho struck the nail on the head when he quotes Dean Inge, saying thsy have no right: to mix politics with Christianity. When, we reud some of the reports in y°'' r valuable paper, especially the P.P.A. s,. ,it makes one wonder if some of the parsons are ordained to go about rnd preaoh. tho Gospel of Christ, or to. preach a. gospel of sectarian strife. I see a.letter signed by n P.P.A. member asking if Archbishop O'Shea, was referring to our Governments (llr. Massoys or MC Joseph Ward's, or the .National -lovernment). Surely if he was referring to our Gracious King George Vho w>.ucl say. "our ruler." or if he was referring .» the Government of this Dominion (past. or present) he would have said . our Government." There is no doubt, in my opinion, that Archbishop o'bhea was referriii" to tho Kaiser and Ins ■Goran* ment. as well as some of the other Contral Powers, ami for the P.V.A.s. menite it might be said that Protonism originated in Germany in A.U. isi'I don't want to find any excuses or Archbishop O'Shea, but jus want toi let vour readers see wo ..cut try wo™, construe statements, and if the MhonaL Goveiinmcnt did not listen ho much t» Hin fpw etc., it would bo oeuer fm tho community on llie whole.-I am. CtC " NOT A P.P.A. MEMBEE.
