THE WIMMERA'S SURVIVORS
MR. SEDGEBEER EXPLAINS. Sydney, July 15. Mr. Sedgebeer, referring to tho remarks of the Mayor of Auckland (Mr. J. H. Gunson) regarding the treatment of the Wimmera's survivors, explains that he in no way referred to the committee, whom the Mayor apparently confuses with the officials referred to by Mr. Sedgebeer. Any complaints he miulo relates to tho shipping officials. He also produced a letter to show that the committee had been reimbursed for any expenditure made in Auckland on his behalf.—Press Assn.
