LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
Tho seventh series of games in the first round of the ladies' hockey competitions was played at Karon Park on Saturday. J.'ho grounds were in very good condition, and the piay throughout showed a big improvement on the previous games. Seniors. Wellington Girls' College A v. Unahati.—Fiom the bully-off play was very even, the ball travelling Irom end lo end of the hold, but piay had not progressed very Jar before Miss .Man in scored for College. Huabati, playing well together, carried play over tho haltway hue. but could noc get \aA the College back. In tuo second spelt Coliego did most of the attacking, and it was only due to Hie fine detente of the lluahali backs that a, larger score was uot put up. Miss Lucena. by a fine piece of play, scored for College, and just beioro the call of tirno Miss Marchbanks added to tho score. College won by three goals to nil. Mr. Cusacit had charge of the game.
Public Trust v. College 8.-Tn the first spell Public Trust had all the best of the game, scoring two goals to their opponents' nil. Misses Land and Gilfedder weie the scorers. In Ilia second hall' play was more even, College at times showing good combination, ami from a lorward rush Miss Dcwhurst scored. .Public Trust, won by two goals to nil. Mr. Wheatley was 'referee.
Base Records v. Kambiers B.—Base. Records, after a very even game, defeated Ramblers by three goals to two. in the first spelt Miss O'Dunohue scored two goals fur Base Records, and Misa Lauiberg scored for Ramblers, white in the second, spell Miss Kelly for Records and iliss Lung for Ramblers each scored. Mr. Fragnclt had charge oi the game. Ramblers A won by default from Pay Department. / Juniors.
Y.W.C.A. easily defeated Wellington Girls' College by four goals to nil. Tho scorers were Misse.y Cameron ('■)) and Gray (1). Mr. Dougali was referee. To Aro School won by default li'oui Wellington Girls' College B.
MEN'S COMPETITIONS. Kirori v. Y.M.C.A. B.—This was an excellent giuue, both sides playing wiih great dash, and the play travelling from end to end every lev minutes. The game ended in a. draw, no score. Mr. Lloyd wus referee.
Ramblers v. Pay Departmenl.Kamblers easily defeated Pay Deportment by eight 'goals to nil, scoring Jour goals in each half. The scorers were; Tait 13), Smith (2|, Wheatley (2), and lvuoh (1). Mr. Jones was referee. Y.M.C.A. A v. Y.M.C.A. C.-Tho A team proved far too good for the C, winning by five goals to one. For tho A's W. Mu'ir (:)) and !•'. Muir (2) and lor tho C"s Jeromson (1) were the scorers. Mr. Wheatley was referee. Featlierston v. Base Records.—Peatherston had alt the best of the game with Records, scoring fourteen goals to tour. Tho scorers wore: For Featlierston, Somors (7), Salek (i), Voss (2), Lye tl), and for Records M'Leod (2), Dobsou i.2). Mr. Pragnell had charge of tho game,
