The following temporary appointment has been approved by the Camp Commandant at Trentham:—Headquarters Staff (Camp Quartermaster's Department) : Sgt, W. J. Uullick, to bo tilaffsergoant. ■ The following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Featherston: Ptos. W. A. Bete,' W. Cochran, E. B. Corbett, and F. N. Bade, C Company, i'irA, to bo lance-corporals; Dvr. T. J. Jenkins, P.8.A.5.C., to be corporal; Gunners E. A. Rodgers, E. A. Downes, G. G. Carapboll, E. J. Race, V. J. Hawke, and A. W. Thompson, 46th N.Z.F.A., to bo temporary bombardiers; Cpl. P. H. Anderson, -loth Specialists, to bo sergeant; Pte. G. M. Allen, 40th Specialists, to bo corporal; Ptes. G. E. Jones, A. R. Golder, and E. Sumuiarsell, doth Specialists, to bo lance-corporals The cup presented by the Camp Commandant at Featherston for tho beat-kept huts and lines has been awarded to the 47th Specialist Company for tho week ] ending Saturday. July 13. I Tho finding of district court-martial held at Trentham Camp on July ■!, having been confirmed by the Commandant N.Z. Military Forces, is hereby promulgated: 1G,781 Pte. J. Pickering, A.S.C., found guilty of disobeying in such a manner as to show a. wilful defiance of authority a lawful command given personally by his superior officer in tho oxecution of his office; sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for two years.
