I Much sympathy will be felt for Mr. and Mrs. Ultan M'Cabe, of Park Street, whose eleven-year-old daughter, Doreen Maude, died yesterday. Only three years ngo Mr. nnd Mrs. Ml'Cabe went to Euglnnd to have the child operated upon, and on the voyage Ilieir only son died most unexpectedly. The death of their daughter leaves them childless. The Miramar Ladies' Sewinj Guild will hold their Red Cross Day at thn shop on Friday nest, July 19, instead of this week, as was advertised. A successful day is anticipated. Sister May Nook is spending a few ! days in Nelson with her parents, prior to proceeding to the front at a later datn. Since leaving Nelson some seven or eight years ago, Sister Nock has lioen nursing in the Wellington. Christchurch, Dunedin, and Otaki Hospitals. Hostesses at the Sydney Street.
