DISAPPROVAL OP TOUNDEItS' SHAU-KS. Tho annual meeting of the Ftock, Exchange Association of Xhw Zealand was held in Weliin;;ton on Thursday. , There were present: Messrs. F. Graham awl J. O. Jameson (Canterbury), H. li. l'orde ami J. \V. I'Tatfci- (Auckland), 11. C. Gillespio IThames), U. li. Smith (Dnneilin), S. 11. Hornabrook and S. Ilareourt (Wellington), and the secretary (Mv. C. ]). Morpoth). Mr. Smith was elected president and ifr. Jameson vice-presi-dent for tho ensuing year. The annual report aud balance-sheet were adopted. A motion was carried to the effect that the association was of opinion (hat the promotion of companies in New Zealand embodying in their capitals what are known as founders' shares should bo barred, and that the Government bo communicated with on the matter. It was proposed that there should be one official -shnre list for the whole of New Zealand, instead of one published monthly in each centre, as at present. The matter is to be submitted In the various Exchanges for their consideration.
