. $ The. members of I ho local Y.M.C.A. tendered a reception to about forty of the Chinese Y.M.C.A. 011 Wednesday evening aud a very interesting time was spent. The president, Mr. C. M. Luke, welcomed the. Chinese on behalf of Ihe association, and Mr. Shih-Yuaii (Consul) replied. The gymnasium pupils, under Mr. JI. Trae.cy ijdiysiral diveclor). gave a display, a.n.l Miss Harrison gave, an exhibition of electric club swinging. An exciting basket, ball contest was. also watched with. interest. Games and musical items contributel to the prngranmie. Supper, served by the ladies' Auxiliary and friends, terminated a highly enjoyable evening.
