ALLEGED ADULTERATED MILK
A CASE'" ON APPEAL. Before His Honour the Chief Justice (Sir Eobert Stout) in the Supreme Court yesterday the appeal lodged by the City Milk Supply, Limited, was heard. E M'Carthy, S.M., who convicted the appellants on a charge of selling milk containing dirt, without informing the purchaser of the jidiiltorjitioiij «ind lined him c£ls. *rhc grounds of tlw appeal were that the conviction was against the weight of evidence; that it was not proved that the milk was not clean; that the company had proved that all reasonable steps had been, taken to ascertain that the sale of the milk would not consti- » lute an offence.
