Head, C.E., preBided over a good attendance, including ■ Messrs. T. Fathers auu J?. .T. W. Lear, , circuit stewards. Membership returns 1 were submitted by the chairman and were considered satisfactory, llio fiuan--1 cial position was reviewed, and gratificu- ■ lion was expressed that the initial expenses in connection with tho establish- • ment of the circuit had been almost prof vided for. With regard to Sunday L schools and young peoples societies, it 3 was reported that tho former were dome good work, and the chairman expressed • his pleasure at the interest token in the s C.E. Society at Hataitai,-the junior C.E. at Maranui, and the Komg People's ' Social Guild at Worsev Bay, all of which B he had visited. Military affairs came under roview, the conference letter to ? members on active service being read to tho meeting and it was resolved that the request of the Military Affairs Com- ' mittee be agreed to and that retiring col- " leotions be taken up quarterly in aid of the funds for furtherance of the work 1 of tho chaplains at tho front, and in the camps.
