COPPER TRAIL
Thanks to the growing stream of coppers from the contributing area outside Wellington, the Ited Cross copper trail made improved progress last week, but whon tlie week-end reports were exchanged with Auckland it was found Hint the northern trail-layers had made quite a sensational spurt, which landed their end of the trail at Te Awamuiu, a hundred miles. Wellington had progressed to Paraparaiumi— 33 miles from home. The following donations have been received to date:—A. H. lliles, ,£25; T. Young, ,t2O; F. S.
