M'AHhur, Jeffries, and Co., 148 Fcathcrston Street, who ndviso that the auxiliary schooner Gisborne left Invercargill on Wednesday with a cargo of meat for Wellington. On completion .of discharge-she will load general cargo for Duncdin. The auxiliary schoopor May j Howard will also arrive here shortly from Invorcargill with a load of meat. Projected departures to-day include the I Mapourika for Auckland. Cargo will bo . received until noon. I Yesterday afternoon the Corinna left I New Plymouth for Wellington, and is duo I this morning. Cargo for Dunedin, Oainaru, and Timaru will be received, and she will sail to-night. A full general cargo will be brought to Wellington, by the Ripple this week-end, ana in consequence no outward cargo will be received on Monday. A largo sailing ship was sighted hull down from Tiri ou Wednesday afternoon. Ihis will probably..be the Auckland-owned four-masted barqucnlinc, Lyman D. Foster, 80 days out from San Francisco to Auckland with case oil. She was sighted off the East Capo a week ago, but the strong westerly winds which have been blowing steadily since have delayed her making port.-Auckland "Herald." Laden with sa.lt and gypsum the Union Company's Wnipori will arrivo to-day from Port Adelaide. Last night the Calm arrived from Lyttelton and to-day she will load for Waiigaiiui. The vessel is due back on Tuesday to load for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. The Nelson Harbour Board has refused an offer of £132-5 from the Otago Iron Rolling Mills for fho purchase of the board's dredge John Graham. On the trip from Napier to Lyttelton the Rosamond, which arrived on Tuesday, met with boisterous weather. A considerable number of shcop were lost. Mr. J. N. M'Gill yesterday signed off the Karamu as third engineer. Mr. •W. Hood, engineer ou the Queen of fho South, has been succeeded by Mr. O. Pearson. The Queen of the South, which left for Foxton yesterday afternoon, will from that port proceed to Tarakobo to load cement for Foxton, and will tlr.m come *o Wellington, being due on Wednesday.
