Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., l'afnierston North, report bavins held their fortnightly sale at Taihapc on <1 uly 3. when a fair entry of sheep and cattle came to hand. There was a good attendance of buyers and most of the lines submitted met with ready sale at late rates. Quotations:—.Mixed aged ewes, in lamb, 17s. 6d.; empty ewes, 205.; mixed lambs, 20s. Bd.; mixed fat slieep. 30s. 6(1. to 31s. 6d.; small weuiier heifers, £2 10s.; weaner steers, £4 10s. Mcsbvs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held, their weekly sale at Levin on Tuesday, when they offered a Rood yarding of lioth sheep and cattle, l'riees were on a par with late rates, the principal nates being as under:—Medium shorn hoggets, lis. to 15s. lid.; forward empty ewes, Ms. 6d.; good conditioned 2-toolh wethers, 275. to 28s. Cattle: On account of llr. W. H tlathbone we offered a lino of 52 2J to 3-year steers, and these were sold under good competition at from .13 13s. to £10. At Otaki on Wednesday Dalgety and to., Ltd., offered a small yarding of both sheep and cattle. A number of the entricß advertised did not come a low? owing to the Tough weather. H. Uassett, of Ashhiirst. The cows were a good useful lot. but, owing to a small attendance, prices were somewhat on I lie low Hide. The her' 1 averaged £12 12s.
