Tho World feature, entitled "Betsy Ross," now showing at the. Empress Theatre, is of special interest at t'ne moment because of the fact that Betsy Ross made the first l!ag that contained the stars and stripes. ■ here in a distinct charm about the picture. The scene is laid in America at the time of the War of Independence, and that period is brought forward with wonderful reality. The principal role is taken by Alice Brady. KINO'S THEATRE. * "The Jewel of Desire," or "The Naulahlia," is the star attraction at the King's Theatre this week.
