RECORD ENTRIES ■RESULTS OF CHEESE JUDGING. (By Telegraph-Special Correspondent.) Tho Cheese Awards. Hawera, July 2. , The South Tarnnaki Winter Show Company's ninth annual wiuter show was commenced at Hawera to-<lay and will continue to Friday. The exhibition was most successful in every respect, entries exceeding last year's fino aggregate bv fully twelve hundred, 'i'lio Hon, W. D. S. Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture] formally opened tho show, and also the lloyd George Hull, a new addition which assists in providing a total space of 58,1100 square feet under ono roof, as contrasted with 25,000 square feet in 1910. The display on tho whole was really excellent aivl was fully representative of the great producing country of Taranaki. The management of the show was in tho hands of \Mr. L. O. Hooker. Tho display of dairy produeo was Tery _ iino indeed, the entries creating a record. Tho produce is attractively staged in the Dairy Produeo Hall, the pot; plants and magnificent trophies setting it off. In cheese Belvedere (C, E. H. Gallon, maker), which , has teen voiy successful at other shows this season, scored very heaTily, obtaining four fusts, two challenge cups, ! two medals, and a gold watch for tho 'points prize. D.ilefiold tipd Kuku were also successful. Mangatoki was tho most successful Tarannki factory, scoring two firsts and a second. Bell Block scored in tho pasteurised cheese, aud Normanby in non-pasteurised.
