"WHO IS NO. 1?"
Sir,—A mooting was convened by the Chinese Consul nnd his colleagues at tho Chinese Association on Sunday night. The main business was to find out who the mysterious "Wong King" was. If the Consul and his colleagues .would like to know, 1 would advise him to "see tho great serial, "Who is No. 1?" and then lay his own finger of suspicion on who is this "Wong King." "AVong King" is a Chinese. "Wong King" is a sport. "Wong King" is a democrat, and is too conversant with both the Chinese and English languages to be beaten by diplomatic wags. What if China was like Mr. Powell's description? Surely that would not turn all tho eyes of tho people, and make them say "Cur." In conclusion, I wish' to repeat my last letter, and those who would like to find out who is "Wong King" can buy this paper this day week—l am, etc., WONG KING. Wellington, July 2.
