In tho House of Commons Mr. Proth- ' fro' (Minister of Agriculture), replying to a question, admitted that there was a list that a large proportion of tho harvest would not be gathered, owing to !■ the shortage of labour. The Government had decided not to enforce the no- . ticos calling up the agriculturists until !' fitter the harvest. The Board of Agriculture was organising a supply of ngri- ' cultural volunteers, including convalescent British and Dominion soldiers,— , Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
