D. Robertson applied for a renewal of his lease of Section 13, Block 1, Kakahi township, 1 rood. It was resolved to grant liim a license to occupy it, for a Period of five years from July 1, 1918. under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, at a rent of £3 per annum, subject to the usual conditions. William Chapman renewed his application for a permit to occupy Sections 1 and i. Block IV, I'inaka Township, 2 roods, it was resolved to grant a permit at £1 per annum. T. J. O'Connor renewed his application t?fv lon 21, Block XI, Maungakaretu &.D.,69 acres 3 roods. It was resolved to adhere to the resolution passed by the board on December 20, 1917. Applications were received from Messrs. H. \\ eston and A. Oornes for right to occupy grassed land on Section 5, Block XV, Manganui S.D., about 30. acres. It was resolved to grant Mr. Cornes a permit to occupy this grassed land from month to month until such time as it may be otherwise required, at a rent of 10s. per month subject to the usual conditions, under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908. Messrs. George Syiue and Co., Ltd., applied tor a reduction in the price fixed for milhng timber on Sections 21 and 23, Block ill, Makotuku S.D. It was resolved that the board cannot see its way to accede to their request. F. W. H. Luers applied for a license to split posts and house-blocks from waßte totara on land comprised in his milling license, Raketupauma Block. It was resolved to grant it at the following royalties :-Feucing posts, 245. per 100; strainers, 2s. each; battens, 10b. per 100; stays, 6d each; house-blocks, 2d. per lineal foot. A. Carlson applied for a permit to discontinue operations on bis milling area at Uwbango for a period of six months owing to the destruction of his mill bv Are It was resolved to grant it. „, P -.
