GERMAN FRIGHTFULNESS
Sir,—l am sorry that it has needed a disaster to one of our Sydney liners in order to brin<; home to {"ho Government the peril of Gormanism in connection with shipping. Whether the explosion which has sunk a great passenger ship was internal or external, it is practically impossible that such i rimes could, bo brought about without connivanco of some alien or aliens holding positions in shipping circles or on wharves. Yet 1 it is only by -extreme persistence that the leuguo has succeeded in causing certain German influences to be removed from tho wharves and ships. Even now much remains to lie done. While the league's views have been treated as alarmist, Germany even here at tho antipodes has perfected an organisation callable of destroying a most important f hip, and this raider the rory nose of the Government. There is no judgment like the judgment of results.—l am, otc., L. J. MOORE, Secretary Anti-Genian League.
