FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.m. YESTERDAY. . . Present indications arc for strong and squally southerly winds, and cold, changeable weather, with heavy showers, in many parts of the Dominion. Barometer rise generally,, but unsteady for a short time in iff; south. Strong westerly winds 'have given place to southerlics since Thursday night, and cold, unsettled weather has ruled. General rain has ben reported, ami Borne heavy falls have occurred in various parts. Snowhas fallen •in the high country in tho /South Island. The barometer ,is still below normal. B. V.
