Tho rents outstanding amounted to .£ll3 Is. lOd. On tho question of providing additional accommodation both at the Wellington College and Girls' College, in anticipation of tho influx of frce-place pupils, tho board, through the secretary, communicated with tlio Minister, fully explaining I lie situation, and the Minister had replied that the matter was receiving consideration. So far the Board of Governors has i ot been advised by the Government of Iho appointment of a successor to Mr. A. Wai'burton, who resigned a month ago. Mr. Warburton was a Government appointee-.

In the. absence of the chairman (Jlon. J. G. W. Aitken) the matter eoiicsniing the domestic science department, r.t, the Girls' College was left in abeyance.
