The following recommendations of the Hospital Committee were agreed to:— "That. tho request of the Alexandra Home to be supplied ivitu stores from this Hospital be net acceded lo." "That A'urso Macphui'hon is leaving to bo married, that lister Murdoch, who came to relieve, has resigned, and Nurse Luke's resignation had been received owing to private alfnirs." "Tiiat all the nurses (12) who had sat for their' hospital examinations had passed." "That the Education Board had now appointed a teacher for the children.in tliu infantile paralysis .ward." . ' The financial statement showed payments for the month (including capital charges) of J87621 2s, Id. Tho credit fund account stood at JBIBSS lis. Id., and the credit to -\ T o. 2 loan account was X\S,m 2s. fid. Tho following recommendations of the Finance and Property Committee were adopted:— "That Ihe committee had considered very'carefully the staffing of the Hospital and head office, and beg to report that no reductions can be made in tho head office, medical, nursing, and clontal departments, out' it has arranged to rcduco tho outside staff as follows:—2 carpenters, 1 painter, and 3 labourers. "That tho application of Scots Collego for a renewal of ils lease of tho property in Hobson Street now occupied by it for a further term of three or live years at the present rental, viz., .£301) per annum, lie. accepted, subject to the building being put into thorough repair and the board being not responsible for same." . • ■ "That Dr. r'yffe had been duly appointed hou. physician."
