Tho "Evening Sun" etatca that tlio British transport Dvinsk was sunk, by a submarine in American waters. Seventeen survivors liavo arrived, and one hundred and forty-five moil aro adrift in small boats.—Aus.-N.Z.. Cable Assn. U-BOAT TORPEDOES ITS COMPANION (Reo. June 26, 11.15 p.m.) New York, Juno 25. Officers of a British stoamer whioh arrived at an Atlantic port relate that two U-boats attacked the steamer off Ireland. The torpedo Irom one U-boat narrowly missed the eteamer, and struck the other U-boat, which was blown to pieces. Destroyers which wero convoying the steamer certified to tho sinking.' A heavily armed German raider has appeared in West Indian waters. She is believed to be the mother ship for tho submarini/?.—R outer. U-BOATS IN THE WHITE SEA. Moscow, June 23. Replying to a protest by M. Tchitcherin (Russian Foreign ■ Minister) against tho activity of German submarines in tho White Sea, Germany states that she .declines to guarantee immunity for Russian shipping there.—Router. 1
