London, June 24. Mr. Hamilton Fyfe writes:—"A suggestion that tho delay in the resumption of the offensive is due to influenza in the enemy's ranks appears, to rest on a flimsy foundation, and it is unwise to accept another current report that sections of the German soldiers are unwilling to fight. But there is evidence of increasing dissatisfaction, due to the scarcity and inferiority of tho food. The ration now consists of under twelve- ounces of bread a day with coffee brewed from roasted acorns and barley, and very littlo meat. The "tobacco" issued is made from dried oakleaves and birch bark.
