Sylvasco, who won the six furlongs hack event at Napier on Saturday, ran third at Gisborne. Ho is by Vasco-Silvcrina.

Yellow aud Black, who won two races at Napier Park; is top-weight in the Hunt Cup Steeplechaso (two" miles and a half), to bo decidcd at Hastings on Friday. Ho has the steadier of 13st. 91b. Advancer, a Gisborne winner, is in with 12st. 3b., and Gaekwar, who raced well at Wanganui and Otaki, iB asked to carry 12at.

Almo, the Australian importation, who has been nominated in various kinds of events for 6ome time past, was stepped out in a hurdle race on Saturday, but did not show up.

The versatile Bon Bevo, who won hi?, first steeplechase on Saturday, has not done a great deal of racing this season, but already he has won £IMS in stake money. Ho is down to compete at Trentham.

The requisite number laving been nominated for tli£ offices of stewards, committee, and' hon. treasurer, no election is necessary."
