ROYAL INVESTITURE AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE. June 23. 'I hero were thousands of spectators, in tho quadrangle of Buckingham Palace on Saturday at the open-air investiture by tho King. Tho decorations included six Victoria Crosses. None of tho (recipients was more loudly cheered than Vice-Admiral lvcyCs when ho advanced to bo knighted. A bar to tho Distinguished Service Order has been awarded Lieutenant-Col-onel S. S. Allen, of New Zealand, and tho Distinguished Service Order to Majors M. A.'Duthie and E. L.
