At this stage Marist appeared to be getting slightly the better of tho play, and were giving the Thistle ljacks an anxious time. Another characteristic piece of combined play on tho part of Marist now followed. Auld secured and passed to BigH'ood, then to Marshall, then to N. Lowe, then to A. Lowo, who, amidst applause, beat Belhamin by a nice ehot from close quarters. In the concluding stages Thistle' endeavoured to equalise matters, but Marist held them at bay, and with the sounding of the whistle ran out winners by two goals to one. Mr. 0. Webster controlled the game. OTHER MATCHES. Playing at Johnsouville Instiluto defeated the suburban team by 2 goals to nil. The teams were evenly matched, and eorne good play resulted.
