A plain and fancy dress danco wus bold in the Ohnriu Hull on Friday night, in aid of the- Copper. Trail, and, considering the very unsettled weather, was well attended. Several parties from .lohnsonville and Makura helped to increase the attendance. Dancing took place until a liito .'lour. Tho musical programme was contributed by the Misses Trotter, Kita Bryant, and Ngaia Bryant, also Mr. jr'icld. The following characters were represented:—"Britannia," Mrs. Wakeiiekl; "Fairy Queen," Miss Elsie Monks; "Folly," Miss Vi. Bryant; "Good Luck," Miss .1). Bryant; "Ued Cross Nurse," Miss Edna Monks; "Irish Girl," Miss G. Bowler; "Dutch Girl," Miss E. Trotter.
