\ (Roc-June 23, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, June 23. The Administrator of , the Northern Territory reports that a stockman named M'Donald has been speared to death by wild aborigines. A police party pursued Hie aborigines, wno rolled stones upon their pursuers from a mountain. The police shot seven dead and arrested one. The verdict at the inquest on those killed was that the shooting was justifiable, and in self-defence.—Press Assn.
