SUPPLY OF RAW MATERIAL
CONFISCATION OF ENEMY SHIPPING UftGED.
London, Juno 21.
'Die "Morning Post' , urges the Premiers of thj Dominions to concentrate upon a decision regarding the supply of ran' material. The Germans have already secured large quantities in South America and elsewhero, ready (o import as soon as the war is over. Germany claims to have- three million tons of shipping available for raw materials, and her manufacturers calculate they will have a great advantage over ths Allies,* who will be forced to use much shipping to transport troops. The "Morning Post" urges: "Enemy shipping, even in enemy ports, should be confiscated a.ud utilised by the allies. We have, however, a, virtual monopoly in certain raw materials and thus might have the whip hand over Germany. Nothing has thus far been done lo carry out the resolution of the Paris Conference and Lor<L Balfouir of Burleigh's re-jjort."—Aus.-NLZ. Cable Assn.
