In the Supreme Court yesterday His Honour Mr. Justice Chapman heard argument in the case of Houston, deceased. This was mi application by way of originating summons to vary certain clauses in tho will of (he late Mrs. Houston, of Hawke's Bay, and postpone the conversion of her estate, also authoris-. ing the 'beneficiaries under the will to onter into a deed of family arrangement. Mr. C. P. Skerretl, K.C., appeared for the trustees of the will, and the Hon. Sir Francis Bell, K.C., with him Mr, L. I/E. Edwards, for the beneficiaries under the will. His Honour reserved his decision. Mr. J. Waters, manager of Messrs. Shnnd's nurseries at Lancaster, has successfully experimented, by grafting a tomato plant on to a potato iont, in producing what he calls "to/natato."
