In confirmation'of the "statements that Germany is taking measures to ensure her population, a Sydney lady has received a. letter from hor sister in England, in which she states that a friend of hers had a vonng German governess, who nt tho outbreak of the' war returned to Borlin. This girl, writing to her former mistress, says: "Yom will bo interested to bear that I am officially pregnant—the fate of many unmarried girls to-day in Germany."-Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assu.
