NEST OF IRISH TRAITORS FERRETED OUT "REPUBLICAN BROTHERHOOD" Melbourne, June 20. Mr. W. A. Wall, Acting-Federal Prime Minister, announced that it has recently come to the -knowledge of the Government that an Ausiraljiii division of tho Irish -Republican Brotherhood had been formed here with the object of establishing an Irish republic independent of Britain. Part of the plan was to enrol volunteers, who would be dispatched to America and thence to Ireland, to aid in an armed revolt. The organisation in America wns in touch with Germany, and money for hostile, purposes.,was remitted from Australia. Members' of Ihia brotherhood had in certain cases been active forces in th J Irish National Afisociation, which was used as a cloali, without the knowledge of- tho bulk of tho members of that association. Tho Government had determined to tako decisive measures and had arrested _ seven of the ringleaders, who were now interned. A public' inquiry would be held.— Press, Assn. AKKESTS IN SYDNEY.
