Prices opened at lute rates, but towards tlio finish declined 10s. to 15s. a head. Prime heavy bidlocks, Ji2l to .£24 55.; prime, .£l7 ]os. to JJ2O; medium, .CM 10s. to JilG; prime cows and heifers, ,£l7; others, .£ll 10s. to JEII. '.L'lie sheop penned numbered 2355, about one-third being prime heavy wethers and ewes, prices for which advanced 2s. to 2s. Od. a head. Medium advanced to Is. Od. a head. Prime heavy wethers, 51s. to 575. 3d.; a lewshow sheep, 80s.; primp wethers, 455. lo 505.; medium, 36.?. to 425.; prime heavy ewes, 425. to 485.; extra, 50s. 3d. j prime, 355. to 405.; others, 28s. to 32*. There were 1085 lambs penned. The quality was fair, and competition was keen at lale rales. Of there, was a moderate yarding, and they realised late rates.
