POSTHUMOUS AWARDS. By Tolosraph.-PrcH? Association. _ Auckland, Juno -is. His Excellency the Govenior-Genoral to-night presented posthumous awards to the next-of-kin of deceased recipients. Prior to the presentation a parade of Territorials and Cadets was held, the Gov-ernor-General reviewing 2GOO. The awards were as follow:— Victoria Cross, Lieutenant-Commander William Edward Sanders. U.N.li-Mr. E. H. Sandore, Tnkapuna, father. In recognition of conspicuous .gallantry, consummate, coolness and skiil in command of H.M. , ships in action. . . Military Cross. Captain Arthur Charles Hubbard, Auckland liegiment.-Mrs. E. A Hubbard, Paeroa mother. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He displayed great courage and ■initiative in leading his company i n an assault on the enomy f ron t line.
