The increasing shortage of teachors was mentioned at the meeting of the Wellington Education Board yesterday. After discussion, the board decided to request (lie military authorities lo release teachers who were at -.resent employed in non-combatant service in tho Army. The board deoidod also to lodge ■ippoals for the exemption of some Second Division teachers who have been drawn in reoent ballots.
