AMERICAN AEROPLANE OUTPUT
CRITICISM BY MR. ROOSEVELT. (Reo. June 18, 5.5 p.m.) Washington, June 17. Speaking at Hartford (Connecticut), Mr. Roosevelt said that American boasting about the aeroplane output had merely stimulated Germany to build more rapidly, with the result that on the United States front in France tho Americans were unable to meet tho Germans in the air, and Britain and Franco had been obliged to lend assistance when they needed it thomselves during the great eneniy drive.—Aus.-N.Z.
