CLASS C MEN
-4- — CALLED FOR. SERVICE. A Gazette Extraordinary is issued this morning containing tho names of 10,000 reservists of Class C, Second Division, selected by ballot last week. The Gazette contains also the names of men who have become liable for service as members of the First Division and Classes A and B of the Second Division. The total number of men called compulsorily for service under the Military Servico,Act 6ince the first ballot in November, 1916, is now-about 125,000, consisting of, roughly, 82,000 First Division men and 43,600 Second Division men. The examination of the C reservists is expected to begin before the end of this month. C men who may bo passed fit within the next three weeks will be available, if required, to enter camp with the Forty-soventh Reinforcements, entering camp in the second week of October. They may not be wanted until a later date.
