ENGLISH PIERROTS. The Concert Chamber of the Town Hall* was agitin crowded last night, when th« English Pierrots provided a high-class entertainment, for which they wero all lavishly applauded. - For mirth and molody the programmes of the Pierrots are hard to equal, and they have earned a well-deserved popularity. Misses Langley and Wilson are winsome artists*.while Miss Rosslyn possesses a cultured voice. Messrs. Oooke and Lyle are heard in some excellent vocal numbers, and Messrs. Turner, Mitchell, and Austin have the faculty of manufacturing plenty of merriment. The monologue work.,of Mr. Charles Lawrence is extremely clever. The programme will be repeated to-night. EMPRESS THEATRE. There are some big scenes in the World drama, "The Cross Bearer," which is now being shown' &t the Empress Theatre. Cardinal Mercier of Belgium, is the central figure, and his character •is delineated by the well-known and popular nctor, Montague Love. The story has a historic basis, 'and an enthralling love theme is woven round tho charming figure of Lianne. who loves and is loved by a Belgian officer. Striking features of the play are the spectacular scenes of cathedral interiors and the Cardinal's visit to His Holiness the Pope at tho Vatican. A very interesting topical and a merry comedy are also shown, making this week's programme a very strong one. KING'S THEATRE. • A devoted' wife's sncriflce to save her husband's fife is the outstanding featuro in the" photo-drama. "Panthea," now screening at the King's Theatre. Norma Talma dge plays the loadinß part, which gives the young star a groat chance which she makes full use of. Miss Talmadge is given full opportunity of showing her immense emotional lowers. The drama is superbly staged aod mounted, and the cast all round is ft strong one. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. One of the most human touches ! n the Triangle drama, "Fanaticß," now being screened at Everybody's Theatre, occurs where the wife to aid her husband in his financial straits, denies herself tho rich gowns she covets. With thy money thus saved the vampire, who is the cause of the financial straits, is enabled to purchase tho very gowns the wife had refrained from buying. Olga Grey and Barney Sherry are featured in the leading roles. The story is a gripping one. The third episode of "Tho Myßtcry of tho Double Cross" is also shown.
