FIRST AND SECOND DIVISIONS
Sir,—Sir James 'Allen lias guaranteed that 110 Second Division man shall be called to camp until all the First Division are there. Yet there are several in this smalj community (in Hawke's Bay) of the First Division—ahle-bodied and unencumbered—still gallivanting the country. Is it not time the Second Division League appointed an agent in each district? Tho shufflers can Hive evidence before the Appeal Board, showing their case, but there never is any evidence in rebuttal. The captain wno represents the Department is nt a disadvantage. Where is the justice? There are always two sides to a case, and yet our military boards give judirment on the evidence of lhe_ reservist alone. Now, Mr. Editor, plainly it is a case of "decepimur specic recti." My duty as a citizen has compelled me thus, to write in tho interests of the Sccond Division.—l am, etc.. It.C.
