President Wilson, in a letter to the leader of tlio suffrage movement, says that he endorsed ths National Women's Suffrage Amendment Hill, and hopes it ■will pass the Somite this session. "1 agree." says the President, "without reservation with full and sincere Democrats. The reconstruction of the world which we are determined to bring about at any cost will 1m incomplete and iiwdeiiuate until -women are admitted to tho suffrage." The President paid a tribute to the. war work done by women, and said: "Tho wai- could not bo fought without them, or the sacrifices they have endured. Cable Assn. • On Friday afternoon Miss Statham, officer in charge of soldiers' graves, met the sub-eommittep of the Women's- National Reserve at Mrs. Mathcw Holmes's residence, when a very satisfactory reply was received to the committee's representations to the City Council regarding the proposed new cemctery for soldiers at Karori. Hie plans of this cemetery wero brought to tho meeting, and met with much approval, and the work of removing the few pine trees which prevented the la.ving-out of the ground | in the proposed form is to bo proceeded ; with at once.
