Odd lots of wheat aio still coming to hand, ami there is a good demand from the North Island from millers who have not yet filled their warrants. Most) of tlio business passing in oats has been in resales of stocks purchased in the south, there being practically no white cats offering locally. The demand for Algoriu.is is slack, and they are nominally worth 4s. to 4s. 6(1. at country stations avoiding to quality. . Potatoes have p<lvanced on account of the lietter d-mand from the North Island, ami sales have been made at JS 7s. M. to .£5 10s. at country stations. There is a fair wianlity of heavy produce, especially oats nr.d potatoes being shipped north, but it is still difficult to obtain space for entshcaf chalT, and the market for this is(lull at present, although mm:hants would take any lines of prime that offered. White clover seed is a little firmer in price, as growers luivc (ieclined to sell since values declined Prices now run at Is. 4d. (o U. 9A. Red clover is a little easier, and buyers ate. not willing to give more than Is. Gd.
