This is to bo written from tho viewpoint of tho Soldiers, and will bo an intimate, interesting, and vivid record of their experiences, rather than siniply a Military History. This will be in addition to tho Official Imperial History of the War. TO SECURE reliable and authoritative information at first hand, it is desirable that . tho Author should have access to Soldiers' private letters, diaries, sketches, and photographs. RELATIVES & FRIENDS , of Soldiers who possess suitablo information are raiuested to forward such to the Director of Base Records, Wellington. This applies to future events as well as to accounts of past incidents. Every care will be taken of tho material sent in, and after extracts havo been made it will be returned intact to tn"c sender.
