The Wairarapa sub-centre of the Eed Cross Society will probably assist the Wellington centre in its "copper trail." The takings of tho Masterton Picture and Entertainment Company last year amounted to J:5-168. A dividend of five per cent, is being declared. The Mnsterton sub-centre of the Eed Cross Society has sent .£IOOO to the London representative of the British Eed Cross. Of this amount, /:400 wi;e contributed by Martinborougli. The Masterton Co-operstive Dairy Company (manager, Mr. Jloikinsj secured four first prizes in the butler section at tho Taranaki Winter Show. A number of Masterton poultry-farm-ers are sendiuc exhibits to the Hastings Show next week. As show ing tlii- mildness of the season, it may bo mentioned that wattle trees in llnsterton nro already bursting into bloom. Of ISO Teservists who presented themselves Ui tho Medical Board in Masterton this week, VC Here passed as fit fr,r active service.
