. . THE ENGLISH PIERROTS. The English Pierrots continue to present then v agreeable mid refined entertainments to excellent audiences at tho Concert Chamber. This week Miss Elso, Langley is as charming as ever in her solo work and has a fetching duet with Mies Wiluon tnat brings down tho house. Mr. 'jeslie Austin lias a strong vein of bun squc, and his feminine impersonation in this bill is a scream to tho ladies.. Mr. Charles Lawrence makes the moments fly pleasantly with his clevomess at tho piano and Miss Elsie Rosslyn, a»a 'Messrs. D. Lyle and Hoy Cooke contribu> valuably to the vooil section of what is a most satisfying piograuime.
• "PANTHEA" AT THE KING'S. There is said to be tremendous power in the Seliniok photo-drama, entitled "Panthea," the star feature to bo screened at tho King's Theatre to-day. Norma Talnmdge takes title role, which by the way was made famous by Olga Petrova on the speaking stage. The part, it is stated, gives the young star tho best chance of her caroer. She first appears as a, young and famous pianist in llissia. Later, eho has to flee, because sho is wrongly accused of a murder. Jn England eho meets and marries a young musical genius named Mordaunt. After two years Mordaunt is in a elate verging on nervous breakdown, due to disappointed ambition, owing to not being able to get his opera produced. His wife chances to meet Duesitor, who promises to produce the opera if she will aereo to certain dishonourable terms. The alternative prenented makes an inteneoly emotional situation. A well-chosen list of items supports this feature.
"FANATICS" AT EVERYBODY'S. In the Triangle drama, "Fanatics," the feature to be shown to-day at Everybody's Theatre, Barney Sherry will appear as Nicholas Eyre, a* atcel magnate. The Btory centres round the fact that Eohert Lnthrop became a slave- to tho charms of liola Monroe, whose evil influence caußes him to wreclc his business. At last he applies to Ms friend. Eyre for financial assistance, and is at firet refused. Later, through his wife's influence, he obtains it, and haetens to Lola, only to find that she is false to him. A fight ensues, and Lathrop is killed. His wife, in spite of the verdict of suicide, is convinced that Eyre is morally responsible for. her husband's death. How she decides to be revenged and the method ehe adopts to achieve, her ends make an intensely gripping story. The third episode of "The Mystery of The- Double Gross," entitled "An Hour to Live," will also be shown.
