GREAT COAL DEPOSITS TO BE EXPLOITED

WELSH FIELD FORMERLY GEE- , MAN-OWNED. London, June 11. The Welsh coal magnate, Mr. D. R. Llewellyn, has purchased a coalfield of 5000 acres in West Glamorganshire. Tho field contains 200,000 toils of workable coal. It belonged to a German syndicate two years before tho war, when Welsh owners bought it. It is anticipated that tho field will provide work for many thousands of colliers instead of tho 800 now employed.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
