Many thousand women signed tho pledge declaring that conscription without consent was tyranny, and promising to help families suffering through men refusing enforced military service. The Women's Committee is not hostiln to voluntary recruiting.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable .Assn. THE MEETING OF THE POOR LAW, GUARDIANS SEDITION CHARGE DISMISSED. • London, Juno .10. The Magistrates dismissed the charge against thirty-three members of tho Limerick Board of Guardians for alleged sedition. The Magistrates pointed out that the clerk gave evidence that lie entered the minutes twelve day* after themeeting, arid was unable to swear who was present; therefore there was no legal evidence that tho .defendants had participated in a, highly illegal meeting.'— Aus.-N.Z. .Cable Asan, Jit' was previously reported that the guardians were summoned to court for. alleged unlawful assembly in the board room, and adopting a resolution calculated to incite sedition."! ■ ■ THE PRISONER FROM THE SUBMARINE IDENTIFIED AS SOLDIER IN IRISH EEGIMENT. | London, June 10. ' Tho prisoner who was landed recently from a German submarine, and now in the Tower, has been identified as LancoCorporal Mowling, of the Connaught Hangers. Ho will be court-martialled lor voluntarily aiding tho enemy.—Aus.ti.Z. Cable Assn.
