1 On Saturday evening an enjoyable so- [ cifll eveniug took place at tho Y.M.C.A:. . Rooms, Willis Street. .Mr. AV. Groig [ I (chainnan social committee) was in the r chair, and ovor 70 members, soldiers, and j lady friends were .present. The programme consisted of music and giunes, and itoms were contributed-by the Red i •Triaiißlers, Misses Doris Smith, Churcht ill, Eva Smith, and Cooncy, and Messrs. ,T. H. Jones and G. Edmondstone. Tho ' supper was tastefully served by tho , Y.M.C.A. Ladies' Auxiliary, under Mrs. . Eossette. ' , ; , Mr. Elliott (Y.M.C.A. field secretary) ', spoke at the residents' and soldiers' fam- , ily worship" on Sunday 1 morning. 'Mr. Robert Powell (China Inland Mission) gave an. address at the .men's meetin". Thirty-five visitors and soldiers 1" were entertained at tho strangers' tea, and sixty-nine soldiers were entertained ( at the after-church supper and son? i service. , At tho main Y.M.C.A. in Willis Streot l 170 beds and 265 meals were served to 5 soldiers oyer tho week-end. i . .
